Position Summary

As the first finance hire at Legitify, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the financial operations of the company. This position involves overseeing all aspects of financial management, including tracking invoices, bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, and liaising with third-party accounting teams. The Finance Manager will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations specific to Ireland.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the entire finance function, including invoicing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with third-party accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures in line with accounting principles and local regulations.
  • Conduct budget forecasting and monitor actual performance against budget, analyzing variances and reporting findings to the CEO.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in Dublin, Ireland.
  • Support the CEO in financial planning and analysis, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a finance role, preferably within a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations specific to Dublin, Ireland.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

Reporting Line

This role reports directly to the CEO.

This role is based in Dublin, Ireland. Can be hybrid.
